DIRECTIONS
From I-210 East:
Head South on I-210 E
Use the 2nd from the left lane to keep left at the fork & stay on I-210 E
Take exit toward Colorado Blvd.
Turn right onto Maple St.
Turn left onto W Walnut St.
Turn right onto Marengo Ave.

From I-210 West:
Head West on I-210 W
Take exit 25B toward Fair Oaks Avenue/Marengo Avenue
Merge onto Maple St.
Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Marengo Ave
American Legion Post #13 will be on your RIGHT in .3 miles.

From CA-110 North:
Head North on CA-110 N until it ends
Turn right at the 1st cross street onto E Glenarm St.
Turn left at the 1st cross street onto S Marengo Ave
American Legion Post #13 will be on your LEFT in 1.5 miles.

From CA-134 East:
Head East on CA-134 E
Take exit 25C for Fair Oaks Ave toward Marengo Ave
Merge onto Corson St
Turn right onto Marengo Ave
American Legion Post #13 will be on your RIGHT in .2 miles.

PARKING
Note: There is NO street parking allowed in Pasadena between 2am and 6am unless you have a Temporary Overnight Parking Exemption (TOPE). See our Fred Astaire parking below for more information.

  • Go Green!  Take the Metro Gold Line to the Memorial Park Station.
  • There are a few unrestricted spots located right outside the Legion's main entrance.
  • 50 (metered) street parking within one block of the Legion
    • Please note meter’s operating hours & time limit when parking at any meter—If you are attending classes these may not work for you all day!
    • Meters are typically $1.25/hr (some are free after 5pm, some after 8pm, and others are never free .. so check the signs!)
    • Some meters ONLY take coins, quarters, dimes, nickels so come prepared or park at a parking garage that accepts CC.
  • 150 Holly Street Parking Garage
    This 24 hour parking structure is on the south side of Holly St. behind the First Baptist Church. $5 flat rate Fridays after 4pm and all day on weekends. CC accepted.

PARKING

*Temporary overnight parking exemptions are valid only in front of or abutting any property improved exclusively for residential use. “Residential use” means either single-family or multiple family dwellings, but shall not include business, industrial or commercial properties.

 

TOPE Instructions

Note: Parking on or blocking a Fire Station front driveway/ramp (emergency vehicle access area) will result in a $340 fine. You should never block emergency vehicle access, block driveways, or park in red zones.

Cost: Temporary overnight parking exemption is $3 per night, per vehicle. You may purchase consecutive nights (up to a maximum of 10 nights) at a time. The kiosks accept coins; $1, $5, and $10 bills; and will take most major credit cards including bank debit cards that display the Visa or MasterCard logo.

Instructions for the use of the temporary overnight parking exemption kiosk are printed on the front of the machine and displayed on the screen.

Instructions are as follows:

  • Choose the number of nights you will be temporarily parking your vehicle on the street
  • Insert your payment, and the machine issues you a receipt. This receipt is your exemption.
  • The date and time that your exemption expires is pre-printed on your receipt.
  • The license number of the vehicle you are exempting MUST be printed legibly in ink on the receipt as indicated.

 

TOPE Conditions of Use

  • Overnight parking exemptions are valid only from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Daytime parking exemptions are valid only from 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
  • Exemptions expire on the date shown on receipt.
  • Receipt MUST be clearly displayed on driver’s side of vehicle dashboard.
  • Expiration date and license number MUST be legible and clearly visible to Parking Enforcement officers.
  • Temporary Overnight and Daytime parking exemptions are valid only for vehicle with matching license number listed on receipt.
  • Temporary Overnight and Daytime parking exemptions are not valid for vehicles with an expired registration or for non-operational vehicles.
  • Vehicles MUST be moved after 72 consecutive hours or be subject to citation and/or tow.
  • Temporary Overnight parking exemptions are not valid in industrial commercial or business districts.
  • Temporary Daytime Parking Exemptions are valid in residential, commercial, and business districts.
  • Overnight and Daytime Parking Exemptions are not valid at metered spaces during hours of operation.
  • Tampering with or duplication of the receipt is strictly prohibited and will prompt a citation and/or tow.
  • TODPEs do not provide exemption from any other parking laws or requirements.
  • Temporary Overnight and Daytime Parking Exemptions are not valid for commercial or over-sized vehicles.
